Soler & Palau Ventilation Group
Our brand
The S&P brand has achieved global recognition thanks to its people, the quality and reliability of its products, and a strong commitment to innovation. The Soler & Palau Ventilation Group has built its project on a set of principles that have guided the company's past, present, and future.
Pillars for a better future
Our product strategy aligned with our purpose
Our product ranges are built around three main pillars. Day by day, we work to ensure that our ventilation solutions are energy-efficient, easy to install, and guarantee good indoor air quality.
These products are designed to simplify installation and maintenance. They not only save time, cost and resources but also provide added value by incorporating structural and functional features that streamline product assembly and maintenance by adapting to the specific requirements of each installation.
In line with our commitment to sustainability, we design energy-efficient products that safeguard both the environment and people. Guided by this philosophy, our R&D+i department not only focuses on energy conservation and efficiency but also considers component recyclability to foster a circular economy and reduce environmental impact.
These products are purposefully designed to achieve optimal indoor air quality and address current ventilation needs. They ensure protection against indoor air pollutants, guaranteeing comfort in the spaces we inhabit and traverse.
Our Strategic Pillars
Innovation at the service of our customers
One of the Group’s strengths is its ability to generate new projects.
The recession that began in 2008 did not slow down the initiatives of Soler & Palau Ventilation Group; on the contrary, it accelerated them and aimed to turn the risks of the environment into real opportunities, reinforcing our commitment to our customers, working together to solve their problems, anticipating their needs, and in any case maintaining a high level of quality and reliability in the Group’s value propositions.
We have a firm commitment to continue growing both organically and through acquisitions. The companies we are currently evaluating, as well as those to be evaluated in the future, must offer synergies to the Group in terms of geographic coverage, product range extension, or market share improvement.
At Soler & Palau Ventilation Group, we want to continue being a global company that applies local policies to grow in an orderly manner, relying on our customers and supported by our human team.
We will incorporate emerging new technologies with the goal of achieving continuous improvement in our products as well as in the service we provide to our customers. We will work to propose increasingly efficient products and systems to the market that help reduce consumption and protect the environment.
We want to be recognized by our customers and collaborators as the leader to trust, not only for our products, but also for the human values and professionals of all the people who make up the Soler & Palau Ventilation Group.
Design and Conceptualization
Nowadays, it is not enough to manufacture reliable and quality products.
Energy saving and product efficiency, both aerodynamically and acoustically, are fundamental pillars in the design of our products, hence the adoption of the most accredited aerodynamic simulation software available on the market.
The firm commitment of all Soler & Palau Ventilation Group companies to efficiency and energy saving has led us to adopt what is called Ecodesign as an unavoidable philosophy, from which concepts such as Controlled Ventilation Demand, Intelligent Control Systems, or products specifically designed for energy recovery have emerged.
For this reason, the Research Department at Soler & Palau is fundamental when designing any product. In the R&D&I department, more than 60 engineers and technicians, equipped with the most modern design systems, work to develop products with the best performance while considering the recyclability of components to minimize environmental impact at the end of the products’ life cycle.
R&D&I Centers
Soler & Palau Ventilation Group promotes a product range with a common core, adapted to the needs of local markets. To achieve this, R&D offices have been created in each geographic area to research and incorporate the most appropriate products into the catalog according to the needs or legislation of each country.
The global nature of Soler & Palau Ventilation Group enables and encourages the transfer of knowledge and experience between the four R&D centers, all equipped with modern laboratories accredited by prestigious international organizations:
- European Zone.................................... Spain (AMCA/ENAC/ILAC)
- Asian Zone..................................... Singapore (AMCA)
- North American Zone........................... United States (AMCA)
- Central American Zone........................ Mexico (AMCA)
- South American Zone.........................Brazil (AMCA)
Therefore, research is a source of competitive advantage at Soler & Palau. Investigating, discovering, working to find excellence, in short, innovating, is what allows us to differentiate ourselves from the competition and reach the consumer.
Additionally, our product range adapts to the particular needs and characteristics of local markets, also taking into account the legislation of each country. Having subsidiaries spread throughout most of the world has allowed us to create R&D&I offices in each geographic area.
The transfer of information and experiences derived from this global scope enriches daily the work of our R&D&I departments. In these centers, more than 60 engineers and technicians work to create products with the best performance. Sophisticated software exclusive to Soler & Palau is a decisive factor in ensuring the achievement of the quality levels our customers demand.
This software allows simulating the equipment's behavior from the design process itself, which translates into saving time and effort. In short, a whole business trajectory betting on R&D&I, which today proudly translates into 182 own patents, more than 59 industrial designs, and over 4 utility models.
Quality
At Soler & Palau Ventilation Group, we are aware that quality is a guarantee of success; therefore, it is defined as a matter of principle.
In 1989, Soler & Palau was the first Spanish company certified by AENOR in Quality Assurance Management System. Currently, all production centers in Spain are ISO-9001 certified. Furthermore, quality systems have been certified for product ranges with special executions: High temperature, ATEX, and others.
Since 1992, Soler & Palau Ventilation Group's Aerotechnical Laboratory has been accredited by ENAC to perform fan tests for characteristics, noise, and vibrations according to ISO/IEC 17025. Currently, our laboratory is internationally accredited by ILAC-MRA and AMCA.
We are what we do, but also how we do it. Therefore, at Soler & Palau, we are proud that quality is one of the fundamental pillars supporting our company, the engine that provides fresh air to the ventilation sector.
Our Quality Management Systems have been certified to the ISO 9001:2015 standard by AENOR. Once again, S&P was among the first companies in Spain to be certified under the new version of the standard.
The Quality Policy has been adapted to the new version of ISO 9001:2015 and is published and approved by General Management on the website for the knowledge and consultation of all interested parties.
The modification of the Quality Policy and the most relevant changes in the Quality Management System documentation to adapt to the new ISO-9001:2015 standard have been extended to all staff at the involved plants and are available through the corporate intranet website.
Production, Distribution, and Logistics
Production
Over more than 70 years designing and producing fans, we have acquired the knowledge to master the various technologies involved in production processes.
Today, we are focusing our efforts on maintaining a high level of development in the technologies we consider essential for manufacturing our products. A good balance between specialization and flexibility makes our manufacturing methods oriented towards obtaining products with higher added value and providing fast and efficient service to market demand.
The more than 10,000 standard references in our catalog and the hundreds of thousands of variables make our offer the most complete in the world, with responses to all market needs. Our proximity to end markets facilitates that our products fully adapt to local needs depending on their uses and applications.
Thanks to our human team, philosophy, customers, and product quality, Soler & Palau Ventilation Group has become a global leader in the sector. We have production centers in Europe, America, and Asia, and presence in all global markets. This entails specialization and knowledge in managing, legislating, and regulating each of the territories where the Soler & Palau Group operates.
The challenge for the future is to bring to market ventilation and energy recovery products and systems with a high level of design that are increasingly efficient and, without sacrificing high performance, provide greater comfort while reducing energy consumption.
Distribution and Logistics
Our logistics system places the product close to the customer. Soler & Palau Ventilation Group is one of the few ventilation companies that can offer worldwide coverage in product distribution, either through the regulatory warehouses of its own subsidiaries or through exclusive distributors capable of solving all types of problems related to ventilation systems.
