A Strong Start: Careers Fair Success

 

Our journey with Suffolk New College began with our participation in their Careers Fair in November. This event provided a fantastic opportunity to connect with students, share insights about the ventilation industry, and showcase the exciting career opportunities we offer. The enthusiasm and curiosity of the students we met reaffirmed our decision to collaborate more closely with the college.

As an industry partner, we are dedicated to working alongside Suffolk New College to provide practical learning experiences, mentorship, and industry insights. Whether it’s through attending events, offering work placements, or sharing expertise, we aim to bridge the gap between education and employment, helping students thrive in their chosen careers.

 

Celebrating Staff Success Stories

 

One of the most rewarding aspects of our work is seeing apprentices flourish. We have proudly supported several apprentices through their journeys, many of whom have secured full-time positions with us upon completing their apprenticeships. Take Kian Patel, for example—one of our Finance Accounts Apprentices. Kian is currently working towards completing his AAT Level 4 after achieving distinctions in AAT Level 3 and Bookkeeping Level 2. His apprenticeship has given him hands-on experience in finance while allowing him to work towards professional qualifications that will help shape his future career.

 

Reflecting on his journey so far, Kian highlights the opportunities to expand his skillset and gain real-world experience as his favourite aspects of the program. His advice to anyone considering an apprenticeship? “There’s no substitute for the hands-on experience and expertise you gain—not to mention being paid while you learn! My advice would be to research your options, figure out what excites you, and stay open to feedback.”

 

We couldn’t be prouder of Kian’s progress and look forward to seeing where his journey takes him next!
