To help us continue our growth, we’re looking for an Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to join our team supporting all elements of our sales, but primarily those to the building services sector.


To be successful in this role, you should possess technical knowledge of ventilation products and have a high level of communication skills. You should also be able to work independently but also collaboratively with your team.


You will be working for a multi-national company and will deliver a consistently high standard of technical assistance across all levels of the business.


Objectives of this role


  • Reporting to the Technical Support Engineering Supervisor
  • Provide high quality site support to customers
  • Provide technical customer support via email and telephone

Daily and monthly responsibilities of the role


  • Fault finding & diagnostics of product and wiring issues
  • To carry out site visits to install, diagnose or repair S&P products
  • To log returns and site reports in CRM system and liaise with key stakeholders
  • To assist clients by giving advice on product operation, installation, maintenance selection in accordance with relevant Regulations/Standards
  • To assist S&P UK staff with technical/product enquires
  • To efficiently and effectively prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • To carry out product modifications and assembly to suit application
  • Undertake quality checks on products

Essential Skills and Qualifications


  • At least 12 months experience working in similar industrial B2B business (HVAC would be advantageous)
  • Commercial awareness
  • Strong skills with Excel
  • Ability to multitask
  • Personable and friendly with the ability to build relationships with all levels of the business
  • Ability to work well with key external stakeholders
  • Highly organised with an ability manage multiple projects and to work to deadlines
  • A keen eye for detail
